Fundraising for the Flinders Foundation is a great way to have fun while experiencing something new.
It’s easy to get started and we can guide you through the process once you decide what you would like to do to raise your target.
Here are some easy step by step instructions that can help you on your journey:
1. Choose a fundraising activity and set your target
Whether you would like to take part in one of our fundraising events or ask your friends to make donation in lieu of a birthday present – it’s up to you.
Think about what you enjoy doing in your spare time and you will find something that can help you achieve your fundraising target.
- You may be a keen cyclist like Danny Leverink from ETM Furnishings who cycled over 930km and raised more than $18,000 for the Flinders Medical Centre Neonatal Unit in the process.
- Or you might have a personal target like Stuart Welsh who intends to raise $5000 for breast cancer care at Flinders in memory of his mother while he challenges himself to lose 15kg.
The fundraising target is up to you and we can talk you through the process and give you inspiration and support along the way.
2. Complete a fundraising application
Before you start fundraising please take a moment to fill out our fundraising application form and return it to us for approval.
3. Get fundraising!
Once we have approved your application we will send you a letter of authority that entitles you to fundraise on our behalf.
You might like to build your very own fundraising page through Team Flinders to encourage your friends and family to make a quick online and secure donation.
Whatever it is that you decide to do we are here to answer your questions and support you if you need our help.
Contact us anytime (08) 8204 5216 or email@example.com
4. Enjoy your achievement
Once you have completed your challenge, all your supporters have been thanked and your final total registered with the Flinders Medical Centre Foundation – put your feet up and give yourself a big pat on the back. You have just helped our specialists and/or medical scientists create better outcomes for those in need.
