If you have ever dreamt of experiencing the thrill and excitement of the Tour de France – then this is your year.
The Flinders Medical Centre Foundation has partnered with the McGuinness McDermott Foundation and Flight Centre to offer 40+ supporters the opportunity to take part the 2010 Tour de France Cancer Cycle Challenge from the 15-29 July.
The tour will be guided by cycling great Ronan Pensec and will let participants get in to the thick of the action for 8 stages - starting in the Pyrenees and ending with the grand final on the Champs Elysees in Paris.
For those who like to challenge themselves, parts of 6 of these stages can be cycled, however non-riders are also welcome to join.
By fundraising and taking part you will support special care for kids with cancer at the WCH and vital cancer research in the LIVESTRONG™ Cancer Research Centre within the new Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer.
Flinders Oncologist, Dr Ganessan Kichenadasse is putting his cycling skills to the test by taking up the Tour challenge; read more about our good doctor's amazing race and how you can support his efforts by making a donation.
