At an official ground breaking ceremony for the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer, champion cyclist and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong spoke passionately about his vision for the new integrated cancer centre that will incorporated the world's first LIVESTRONG™ Cancer Research Centre.

With its unique focus on the development of new cancer prevention methods, early diagnostic tools and innovative treatments, the Centre will enable researchers to work hand in hand with clinicians and patients to inspire survivorship and solutions for all.


Messages of Hope and Inspiration

                              
As a new fundraising initiative for the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer we are calling upon individuals to donate and become part of a digital art installation that will send messages of hope and inspiration to the world.

 Individuals who donate $500 and above will be provided with the opportunity to create a message that will be permanently relayed on a digital art wall in the heart of the Centre.  Just like Twitter ™ you will have 140 characters including spaces to create your message*.

This is not only an opportunity to support vital cancer research and care but also to share your personal message of hope or remembrance in order to inspire all those who work, visit  and use the Centre for generations to come.

 For groups raising $5,000 or more the digital art wall will display a photo and the group's 140 character message of triumph, hope and inspiration. 
 Of course any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated.


*The FMC Foundation retains the right to edit the message to size and appropriateness and reminds all donors that these messages are intended to be positive messages of hope.

Messages may be quotes from your favourite source, for example:

"The human spirit is stronger than anything that can happen to it". (C.C. Scott) 

In honour of our darling mother, Sue from the Palmer family.

Or personal messages such as:

Please live long and stay strong. Remember the sun still shines even if you can't see it just behind the clouds.
